Our Story
Whilst roaming the streets of outer Palermo – a vibrant city of immeasurable charm – we stumbled upon one of the few remaining authentic Sicilian coffa bag producers, and fell instantly in love. The colours and textures of these delicious accessories were so wonderfully unique and versatile, and right there, we resolved to bring them to the rest of the world. That is how Sicily Bag was born in 2015, and it continues to bring us so much joy to not only share this artisanal splendour, but to also support the beautiful family who plies this fading craft.

Sicily Bags are lovingly crafted by Luigi in the quiet courtyard of his Palermo home. For decades, he has dedicated himself to his art, using only the finest calibre hand shoots of Sicilian Dwarf Palm, his ‘magic’ pom-pom technique, and special Sicilian touches to garnish each design.
Today, he works alongside his children, who have learned the skills of their father and join him in creating each one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
