Each Sicily Bag is made-to-order by Francesca in Palermo.
From sourcing the perfect wool for Luigi’s signature “magic” pom poms to carefully selecting the decorative trims and hand-stitching every detail, your bag begins its journey only after you place your order. It’s not pulled from a shelf – it’s crafted from scratch, with love and care.
Please allow 2–3 weeks for your bag to be handcrafted before it’s ready to ship. Occasionally, we’re able to ship sooner (sometimes within 10 days), but we prefer to underpromise and overdeliver – the Sicilian way.

May 2026 IMPORTANT NOTICE – Unfortunately, due to the sad passing of one of the oldest artisans in Sicily – one of the last people left in Sicilia who could weave the raw bags out of palma nana straw – until further notice, we are unable to create new Sicily Bags. We are searching for a new supplier of the raw (plain straw bags) so that we can continue to decorate and adorn them with Luigi and Francesca’s magic pom-pom technique and continue the Sicily Bag tradition.
